I used to hate paint markers....

Reply:try brite mark. i use them for marking numbers and location on parts that get assembled up to a year later and it holds up well. they last forever and are cheep.

Reply:The thinner trick works, but I found they dried out faster after adding it. Just thinking out loud, but I wonder if storing them in a sealed baggie would help? Reply:The above only seems to work with the fat tip markers. It figures that I mostly need the thin tip. I hate paint markers.

Reply:I've had very good luck with Markal I carry a large and fine point with me virtually everywhere I go. Also a large and combo tip sharpie...I tend to use them that much.
