Anyone recognize this? Found it outside the shop at work. It’s made out of stainless steel.I thought it might be a feed auger from a sand/salt spreader, but it appears to have concrete in it. Maybe it’s from some sort of concrete pump?

Reply:Looks like a pick point from a concrete tilt up building. They were cast into the concrete and lifting gear was screwed into them to lift the panels. That's probably a leftover from some demolition.
Reply:Yeh, kinda looks like some kind of anchor point threaded insert and all...
Reply:Yeah, I have welded many of those to the rebar mat in the slabs. The threaded sleeve is some kind of ACME type thread for the picking swivels.

Reply:Expanded coil insert for concrete.

Reply:Looks like that’s it. I had ruled out it being a cast-in rigging point because it was stainless. The only cast-in lifting devicesI’ve seen are the rebar loops in jersey barriers and mafia blocks.Miller a/c-d/c Thunderbolt XLMillermatic 180 Purox O/ASmith Littletorch O/AHobart Champion Elite
