Reply:I'm with John, that's an AWFUL lot of $$$ for what you need, which isn't much ... it's debatable that you even need a cooler with 25% duty cycle at 200A ... seems to me a fan and an air-cooled torch and a fat glove ought to cover 2.5 minutes of 200A every 10 minutes...I'd go, at MOST, with something along the lines of what John posted for under $250...
Reply:I may try that eBay cooler out . I’m due for a new torch anyways , so it wouldn’t be too much more to step into water cooled . I love using light gloves. I was welding some 1/8” aluminum a while back and holy sheet that got hot fast. I’ll probably pick up the dinse, a 20 series torch , some gas lenses and cups, and the cooler this week when I order my spoolgun for my 211.Millermatic 211weldpack 3200 squirtgunsquare wave 200victory journeyman kitHypertherm 30xptoo much other crap to listtinkerer extraordinaire

Reply:The cooler the OP linked looks like a rebranded Dynaflux cooler....well made, solid units.  It could be a knockoff, but I haven't heard of anybody making cheap copies.  They use a traditional Procon pump with a normal electric motor that has the pump on one output shaft and the cooling fan on the other end.  The pumps are extremely reliable and last for years, and can be repaired.  The good thing is, if the motor is running, it's a safe bet you're getting pressure and cooling air.  They tend to run around $1K from most sources, so this one with the torch and other stuff is actually a pretty good deal. Bernard coolers are similar, but slightly different looking in details, like the filler plug is on the opposite side.  Other than that, they're pretty much the same setup, and good quality.  Miller has their Coolmate line which has similar components, but uses a plastic reservoir which is fine, but seem to build up gunk on the inside a bit more readily.  The Miller setup takes up a bit less space for the same amount of coolant, but can't be disassembled and cleaned quite as easily.  On the Bernard or Dynaflux you can pull the lid off the reservoir to clean the entire thing easily.  Both Bernard and Miller coolers start around $1K.The HTP coolers are the only HTP product I'm aware of that I would stay away from.  The design and construction appears to be similar to the cheap Chinese coolers being sold on eBay and Amazon.  I've read that the pump and motor are made in Italy and the whole thing assembled in China, so that's somewhat of a plus but not enough to sway me.  I would build my own chiller before I would go the HTP route...they really aren't complicated.Check out my bench vise website:  http://mivise.comMiller Syncrowave 250DXMillermatic 350P with XR AlumaProMiller Regency 200 with 22A feeder and Spoolmatic 3Hobart Champion EliteEverlast PowerTig 210EXT
