Ever get tired of that "righty-tighty" nonsense? Ever throw a wrench across the room after finally figuring out the bolt is a left-hand thread for some godforsaken reason?Well, the Russians have solved the dilemma.
Anyone know what that motorized Makita gadget is?
Reply:So.... a bolt that goes both ways.... I think they already have an acronym for it

Reply:I was watching that same exact video last night and marveling at the machining. Even though about the only word I understood was him saying "Yes!!" a few times as the bolt freely spun out I really liked it.Millermatic 252 MIGMiller Dynasty 200DX TIGMiller Spectrum 625 PlasmaAltas 12x36 Metal LatheBridgeport Milling Machinewww.psacustomcreations.com

Reply:Neat for sure. Pretty worthless though for anything practical. The only way it works is with massive pitch. Reduce the pitch to useable and there would be no threads left. That is already weak. Normal pitches forget it.I think a Yankee screwdriver has had threads going both ways for 50 years.Last edited by danielplace; 12-17-2020 at 08:25 AM.

Reply:I'm sure I could still cross thread it with an impact wrench.
Reply:Looks like the impact wrench 'crossthreaded' the thread LOL!!!!!502 post fix
