Century Monkey be Wards AC DC repair

I need to make it work. It is completely dead. Has power in past the switch, but nothing out. No humming, no fan.

Reply:Did you check to make sure you have 240? What instrument are you using to determine voltage? Sounds like maybe you only have 120. Check leg to leg at the outlet and again inside the machine. Reply:120 on each hot wire.I'll double check the ground.Don't think that's it though.Checked with a multi meter.
Reply:Finally some good news.Turns out my outdated circuit breaker box doesn't connect to the two busbars at every two stations. I had to take it loose and wiggle the busbars to figure out that of the six stations, only the inner for would work for 220.  Welder makes that happy humming noise now.
