I just ordered a new 30 XP and was told it might be a while before I get it... NE is snowed in and UPS can’t get to factory ... sounds like BS to me... at any rate, it’s been a week since I placed the order with my local Distributor I’m hoping it gets here soon!Any thoughts on that model good or bad?
Reply:Hypertherm is the leader in the plasma industry. Great machine which will last a lifetime. Made in USA and a employee owned company. Hypertherm Rep on WW, Jim Colt. He has  assited many here on questions.
Reply:That's curious,  most weld supply places keep the xp's in stock . Anyhow I love my two 45xp's and have run them thru the ringer , tough and reliable is my opinion of the new hypertherm's .
Reply:We did have two Nor'Easter storms 3 days apart....first one was close to 20 inches at the Hypertherm logistics center in Hanover NH (shipping), the second one was about 14 inches. Takes a few days to push the snowbanks back!  I have 10' tall snowbanks in my driveway....about 11 miles from the main plant. Most distributors keep the 30XP in stock, I'm sure this one just got caught without inventory.   Thanks for buying the Hypertherm from all of the owners (employees).   Jim Colt   Hypertherm

Reply:Very happy with my 30XP.Its a small unit so it has its limitations on cutting thickness, but its size can also be its strength.Had a small job last summer, replacing a stainless sink at a restaurant. All the work had to be done on site (the sink was part of a large wall unit). Cut out the old one using my 30XP and 110 volt power and a little pancake compressor. Then this month I used it to cope a crap load of old rusty 2-7/8 drill pipe for a project at a farmers place.Red Seal Journeyman Welder (2003),   Red Seal Journeyman Metal Fabricator (2018),    Welding Engineering Technologist (2005)Pressure - ASME Section IXStructural - CSA W47.1, CSA W47.2Transport tanker - CSA B620Aerospace - AWS D17.1

Reply:My new Hypertherm 30 XP was waiting for me when I got home today... WOW and ... Holy crap, the SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE MANUAL is 300% bigger than the Operator’s Manual lolIf I wasn’t so tired, I’d go destroy something!Watch out this weekend!
Reply:Thank our Gov. controlled agencies for that! Good kindling though!   Thanks for buying the Powermax!   Jim Colt

Reply:30XP is a fantastic machine that packs a hell of a punch. It's also unbelievable how precise they can cut. I like to make metal art and I swear to you they will cut as fine as a pencil lead with the fine tip consumables. Then put the regular consumables on and you can hack threw 1/2 steel. Pretty amazing little machine! You'll be very happy with it.ESAB Powercut 1600/ Hypertherm 30XP + 45XP/ Lincoln Powermig 255/ Jet Band SawCheck out my plasma cutter reviews also!Current Project: 175 Gallon Reverse Flow BBQ Smoker!
