Hi, this has probably already been covered but I can't seem to find anything with the search function.I'm going to buy an old classic 300d and I'm wondering which is the better engine for reliability.these machines have been around for a long time and most of them are fairly high hours so durability is going to be a key factor.the kubota seems to be more common, at least in the used ones for sale.any insights would be appreciated, thank you.UA488
Reply:Red-d-arc welder rentals uses Kubota. I value their experience. That said, I'm not sure I would be afraid of a Perkins."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!

" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"
Reply:Both are good engines, I prefer Kubota but thats just my preference. Get the best deal you can based on the overall condition of the machine.
