I have a new miller big blue pro 400 and would like to make a adapter extension cord to go from the 4 prong 240 outlet to the 3 prong plug on my syncrowave 210 would anyone be able provide a diagram on how to wire up a extension cord for this. miller sells a adapter plug but that's only about 2 foot long and for the money of that adapter I could make a longer cord thanks
Reply:What style NEMA outlet is used on the 400?Basically, you find the outlet style, look at a wire diagram for that style, most likely you will have a hot on the left and right, then a ground at top and neutral at bottom. Then just pick the two hots and run the to the two side blades of (I assume this is what you have on your sync) of a NEMA 6-50 and run the ground to the top lug. |
