Reply:Those old Hobarts were indeed excellent welders. That one looks like it has the 4 cyl Willys engine.  The downside on them now is parts availability. The engine parts are not a problem but anything needed for  the generator might be tough.  For $300 I say go for it. If your lucky you will have a good welder with some sweat equity.
