I have some “Certanium 50” brazing rod. Does anyone have technical info on this rod?  Working temperatures? Chemical composition. Recommended flux? Rated PSI tensil strength?  The label reads Copper-Silver alloy. Maintenance alloy. I’m hoping to use it one SS joining for hobby/art projects. Would it be good for brazing a lugged bike frame? Please don’t suggest I google it. I have already spent hours trying to find this online.   It seems to have been made in the 1980’s and is discontinued so far as I can tell.   thx. Jim
Reply:Looks like lawson products carries the certainium brand.https://www.lawsonproducts.com/Silve...g/WD120200.lpcI dont see the #50 but sounds similar to their F40 fluxhttps://www.lawsonproducts.com/Crona...-1oz/CW1078.lpLincolin Power Wave 450, Lincoln Powermig 255, Lincoln Pro Mig 140, Lincoln Squarewave Tig 275, Miller Big 40 G(with Hobart Hefty suitcase), Thermal Arc 95S and Esab PCM875 in an already full machine shop.
Reply:If I had to guess it would be most like. Cronatron® 45 Silver Bare Brazing Rodbut I’d like to see that in a written spec somewhere if possible.
