Powermax 45XP consumables compatible with old PMX45?

Hi guys,I'm looking at getting a 45XP but was quoted consumables for the old powermax 45. Just wanted to check if the old consumables fit the new torch? Or are they completely different?Thanks,Pete

Reply:The original 45 with its original torch uses all diufferent consumables. The newer 45XP uses the Duramax style torch....same consumables as used on the 65, 85 and 105 systems. You can upgrade the original 45 to the Duramax torch. then it canuse the same consumables as the newer systems....and will produce better cuts, longer consumable life, and will have Finecut capability for better cuts on materials thinner than 10 gauge.   Jim Colt   Hypertherm

Reply:Thanks guys!It was the reseller that didn't have a clue. But he found the right consumables for the 45XP eventually. So when we went to pick up our new plasma cutter, we got the right consumables to go with it.
