can a duramax handtorch on a powermax 100 be used for cutting ona cnc cutting table? my holder will hold torch fine , can machine or torch be rewired to make it operate like a straight machine torch ?thanksr brintle
Reply:While machine torches are designed and recommended for machine cutting, yes many use a hand torch. With a hand torch you will need to hack the torch trigger wiring (machine torch will fire using the rear panel CPC connector) for the start signal. Also,  be careful with the torch mount, if it is the type that clamps on the plastic hand torch body....if too tight it can affect torch firing and can cause internal damage. There also are some mounts that hold the torch by the retaining cap.....highly recommended that you don't do that!   Jim Colt
