Reply:Is that motor stronger than the original motor?The feed motor in my HF MIG-180 seems designed for the original 6 ft stinger but the prior owner installed a 10 ft stinger. I generally set this welder on the floor to reduce the number of curves between the machine and the gun. This feeds smoother than with the welder elbow-high and tilted upward.
