Reply:What you have there is a $100 bike on a $20 frame, with machine brazed dropouts. The dropout is split right along the braze, the best repair would be an ugly glob of braze that might work if you can get the area really clean, I'll do it for $100, $65 if you do the cleaning to bright metal 3" back on both sides of the break. But yeah, I've been given nicer frames by the local bike shop.Failure could be from a badly installed rear wheal plus continued regular use, or being run over by a bus. Not really a candidate for repair if you can't do it yourself.If it was a hand built museum piece I'd un-braze the stub and other half of the dropout, weld and grind to perfection separately, and re-install. Now your talking at least $250. Plus shipping to the UK, ROFL!
