I just bought myself an EWM Picomig 180 pulse machine for $2100 AUD which is a great dea, a lincoln 210MP runs around $3k retail here for comparison and the EWM's normally run about 4.5k but it was a clearance sale. But i've just gotten a lead on a lincoln Powercraft 250C for $1100, and for a machine with a much higher capacity with a great duty cycle and still with a 3 year warranty I'm thinking I should make use of the excellent returns policy for the EWM I just bought and go for the lincoln.Anyone have any experience with the lincoln?
Reply:Seems I might not get a lot of response for it here as it looks like the powercraft 250C is in aussie, or maybe asia/pacific model, I cant find any mention of it on US websites.https://www.lincolnelectric.com/en-a...ctric_EU_Base)
Reply:It does appear to be a new machine for the Aussie market. It has inductance control which I think is the same as the choke effect the Picomig has. It doesn't appear to have pulse though. It seems to be made for contractors to run off a generator burning Innershield wire. I'd guess the Picomig is a much higher end machine. There has to be a reason why it is so much less expensive.
