Reply:Picked up this litter welder to run until I get my old Hobart running. It's a 1980 Acklands G225, same as a Miller AEAD200LE, sat inside it's whole life, not used in a decade.  Got her purring like a kitten, welds nice! More to come, need to finish my toolboxes.

Reply:And yes I will be changing the hitch so it's tucked in wayyyyy more.
Reply:Just tuck in the receiver tube and leave the horizontal tube where it is for a handy step.Lincolin Power Wave 450, Lincoln Powermig 255, Lincoln Pro Mig 140, Lincoln Squarewave Tig 275, Miller Big 40 G(with Hobart Hefty suitcase), Thermal Arc 95S and Esab PCM875 in an already full machine shop.

Reply:Makes me want to get my old 78 PowerWagon back on the road again.  400cid, NP 435 transmission, NP 203 transfer case, Dana 60 rear, Dana somethin' front.  Was a workhorse, and a pleasure to drive............just didn't like passing any gas station on the road without a stop-in

(Might be a Dana 40 on the front, cant' rightly remember)

Reply:You're in Saskatchewan so shouldn't be hard to round up some "Genuine Fire Resistant Saskatchewan Seal Skin Bindings" to hold that welder on the deck. Those are decent machines and became the Legend but replaced by the Bobcat models.
Reply:nice looking rig.  that 360 is a brute.  had 5-6 and were fantastic.  worked for chrysler back then in mid 70's.i didn't notice if you posted the dodges milage, if it hasn't been done yet, replace the timing chain with a double roller timing chain.  first check what year dodge went to a steel chain.  previous 318-360 timing chains had plastic coated gears and age and mileage made the plastic teeth break and fall off and chain would slip causing lots of problems.lincoln 125spmonkey wards 250 ac/dcmiller 211 w/spool gunahp  200 sx tiglotos ltp5000dof course duramax diesel

Reply:Got a flatbed Ford dually in the yard that would do well for something like this.  Always wanted to make it into a shop truck, especially since it's a 5sp manual transmission and full crew cab.  Just gotta win the lottery first!I'll live vicariously through you for the time being.  Can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Reply:There's a guy up in Canada that posts on YouTube, or used to.  FieldRes, or something like that.  You guys oughta get together.  Both of you seem to like the old classic machines.  He's probably got the first Lincoln ever built

Guy used to post funny videos, but stopped, and removed them some time back.

Reply:For those who might be wondering why no updates.Project on hold, squished 2 fingers a work few weeks ago, popped the tips like sausages bursting on the grill, ripped the nails up at the roots, cuts behind the nails to the bone and shattered part of the one finger tip.....so off work for a bit.

Reply:I'd post the pics from 30 minutes after it happened but some people might not appreciate it lol
Reply:You're lucky to still have them, I had a similar smash on the pinky and ring finger tip on my left hand 14 years ago and lost 10mm of the ring finger. The pinky tip still looks a little flattened. And I still have issues in cold weather.
Reply:Yup winter will be fun...boo!  Lol
Reply:I crushed a finger on dump truck tailgate but thankfully it mostly healed. Worked with a guy once who lost a finger and got $17K in compensation for it. It got squished under one of the plungers on a 1/4" x 10' plate shear. That had to hurt!
Reply:I really like the looks of your weld rig, when you get healed up and back to workin keep us posted, take care of them fingers, ive had that happen many times and it hurts like hell...it caused pain in my chest lookin at the xray. Get well soon and be safe

Reply:I hope those fingers heal well... it sucks not being able to use your hands for manual work for a while.Regarding the truck... do you plan on touching up the suspension of that vehicle? It looks like right now it has zero suspension travel... Stiffer springs or adding new leaves to the current leaf spring packs could be a nice improvement. I know nothing about the suspension setup of that truck.Mikel

Reply:Not much to update. headlights, clearance lights, 2007 F250 rear leather seat install, lifted the deck 2'' and put quad diamond stacks on.
