I was watching a show awhile back on Discovery and it was dealing with a Dam being installed in Iceland. For the overflows they had to bring in a giant tunnel boring machine and the cutting head was welded together by a group of specialty welders that they referred to as the super welders of South Africa. What I am wondering is who are they and what makes them so different ? This isn't the first time that I've heard of them so it wasn't a figment of my imagination by any means. Just curious as to if anyone else has heard of these elite group of people and where I can read about them.
