Reply:Definitely MIG, I would use TIG.
Reply:Don't get mad if im wrong, but isn't TIG supposed to be much harder than MIG? I've never tried TIG, but wouldn't MIG be more suitable for a beginner (like me)?
Reply:yes o/a freak your right. However, at the same time its good to remember that although thats a general statement its not always true of all people. However, generally speaking yes. Good luckCHRIS
Reply:You could use any of the mentioned proccess, you could even gas weld it (oxy actylene). It depends which proccess you are happiest using. Me I'd wouldn't use TIG due to the higher cost implications, not only of first buying the equipment, but running it. Just because TIG is the 'newer' and more sexy process doesn't make it any more suitable then other methods. I personally wouldn't use gas due to the time it takes when compared to MIG or stick, but that is more of a commercial consideration. I do mainly tube work myself, and would go for MIG as an ideal but stick as I have a stick welder sat in my work shop. |
