Hello i am getting my degree in welding very soon. And welding will be my proffesion. I train mixed martial arts and do allot of punching. I am wondering if this will affect my welding in anway? Do any of yall train and weld for many years without any problems? Thanks
Reply:I would think martial arts is a good thing to know if you are going to be a weldor...just make sure the other weldor doesn't have a gun .Seriously, I don't think there should be any conflicts from doing both, except that you might lose work time due to injuries suffered during practice and competitions.Smithboy...if it ain't broke, you ain't tryin'.

Reply:The only thing I can think of is if you've had a good session the day before and you'll be welding the next day, you're upper body may be a bit sore. I've been training in muay thai, and my hands are a bit sore the next day from sparring.i have not yet encountered shaky unsteady hands from striking and grappling yet.Last edited by christyles; 11-15-2005 at 11:40 PM.///e46toronto.caCanada's premier BMW forum |
