Anyone heard of Miller's prices going up? I called a local supplier today inquiring about a Dynasty 200 machine. He gave me a quote over the phone and said that the quote might be off a couple of hundred since his price sheet is two weeks old and prices were to go up as of the new year. Any credibility to this? The quote he gave me was 2900.00 for the DX + shipping. That still needs all the goodies to get it up and welding, another 500.00. He wasn't able to negotiate anything either. He also does Lincoln and Hobart, but said there would not be much of a difference there either. I won't be buying a machine for a month or so, but I wanted to get a feel for the market. Ebay seems to look right about now. Any thoughts?

Reply:When I was pricing out the MM175 that I bought in November, one of the dealers told me that all the Miller models were going up after the first of the year. IIRC, the MM175 was scheduled to go up 4%.I'm a man.But I can change. If I have to.I guess... |
