helloDoes anybody know where can I get some plans for spot (or resistance) welder? I need to weld small pieces of very thin stainless steel (i think 0.05 to 0.08mm) and the commercial machines cost a fortune. Thanks in advance for any help.

Reply:Thanks MAC for the link but i have 220v and for what i`ve been told this machines will vaporize the metal in the thickness that i have to weld.0.05 mm is something like 0.002 in
Reply:Good question then. The specs don't show a minimum thickness, so it's a valid issue to be sure. The timer models say that the timer does go all the way down to 0 seconds, but we'd have to check with someone that really uses them. Might find more people at Hobart's Weld Talk forum.
Reply:HF has a 110 v spot welder. If it is defective ,you can return it within 30 days.
Reply:I'm GUESSING he's not in the United States. He mentioned he had 220V and his measurements were in mm. How about it, Penca? The more we know about your conditions, the better we can help.
