on your clothes if you are a welder, they will make you clothing highly flameable !!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Hey rep,Do you know what it is about the sheets that does that?? One of the chemicals I'm sure, but what?? On the same line, I have about four 100% cotton shirts, all bought at the same time, that will do this 'fuzz flash' trick at least once during any welding/grinding/cutting session. First spark and there was always this mysterious heat wave over one side or area of the shirt and body. Not hot enough to singe hair or anything but it does cause a short panic and disrupts what you are doing. I took one right off the rack and put the BBQ lighter to it. Not really a visible flame, more like an alcohol flame and quick. I finally quit wearing them.
Reply:Didnt know that one at all. Thanks for the info...I bet it's phosporus...lots of detergants have it and it burns really hot.Smithboy...if it ain't broke, you ain't tryin'.
