hey i would like some suggestion from pros. Currently i am putting up metal buildings and i love to weld so i want to start welding, I have been thinking about pipeline but dont have much equipment and dont know if i should go to school and then start welding or just start welding know. Also i talked to one of my buddys, a welder, and he was saying that there is not many openings for jobs in Texas. Any help would be wonderfulthanksDavid

Reply:WHere in texas. There is a huge gas boom in the barnett shale area of north texas going on. Besides that...theres always 798 the pipeliners based out of tulsa but they go everywhere man. Give me a shout if your interestedIF it Catches...Let it Burn
Reply:even if there isnt much room in texas if you join the 789, then become a travel card you can come up to AB here in canada and theres calls for welders every day
Reply:If you like the trade and you don't mind traveling, you can work anywhere in the universe that they put 2 peices of metal together, on land , under water and soon in space. No work, no work if you don't want to work.
Reply:There is also a major shortage of qualified welders in Oklahoma. Go to a trade school 1st and see if this is what you want to do. It is a trade that will last you a lifetime. |
