I bought a Chicago-100 MIG welder 120V from Harbor Freight. It is a shielded wire feed type (no gas bottle). I am aware it doesn't compare with Hobart or Miller and I also know it won't have the capacity of a 220V unit.I have a couple of questions:1. What thickness can I expect to weld-I think one pass is about 1/8" combined thickness-is that about right?2. Can this small unit make multiple passes to weld 1/4" angles together? (butt weld? overlapped? perpendicular to each other?)3. The instructions with the unit indicate pushing the weld with torch 35 degrees from the horizontal. I thought I read somewhere a MIG should be used by pulling the weld along (torch aimed back toward welded area) but I don't seem to find this basic information anywhere.I am totally new to all of this although a few generations back I did setups for welders. I am now retired and have time to play. Any and all comments are welcome. I want to do some yard-art and maybe some implements for my equipment.
