Reply:For the MIG handbook and much more first go to the Lincoln website which is Lincoln Electric dot com. Click on Knowledge. In the "search box advanced" type in GMAW handbook. If you wander around and don't follow my instructions you will be forever lost in a huge library of informative articles and you will never get back to the Welding Web. :')))

Reply:We use pulse-mig to weld thin aluminum at work. The purpose of the pulse, for us anyways, is to make it easier to weld the thin material without burning through it and give us more control over the arc. I can do all the welds at work without the pulser on and come up with good welds, but it takes alot more concentration, I run the torch alot quicker, good fit-up is more important, and it's easy to screw it up and blow through. The pulser just makes it easier to make nice welds and I dont feel like I'm welding on hyper drive. It feels nice to slow down just and cruize along. |
