Hello,   A welder friend of mine needs some advice. He's a very good TIG welder, having many years of experience welding high pressure vessels, on a bench, or on a rotator. He has current military welding certification (Mil-278), Welding Open Root G-9 position, and others.     He's been at the same company for many years and thinks it's time for a change, but he's not sure where to look.  Are there any welding headhunters or job sites do you recommend?   Thanks,Mikel

Reply:Hey Mikel,Here's a start for you to look at. These sites have numerous positions for particular processes and experiences.www.monster.comwww.roadtechs.comwww.careerbuilder.comJust type "welder" in the search window on each site. There is a high demand for TIG welders on careerbuilder....Check these out for a start....Good Luck...DennyComplete Welding/Machine/Fab. Reply:Check into a Pipefitter/Plumber union.  The United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters is activly looking for welders.  There is a lot of powerhouse work coming up, also a lot of oil refineries doing work.  You may have to serve an apprenticeship though.  You can look up UA Locals on the web they will tell you how to contact them
Reply:Try weldingjobs.com, AWS.ORG, and zoominfo.com
