Hi, guys, I have been offline for a year or so, and glad to be back hope you can help me with this.... I am trying to find out where I might can get a certain reference book on metals. To be specific, I was given a book by one of my steel suppliers (Now out of Business) That contained charts on weights per foot of all shapes and sizes even stainless and Aluminum shapes as well. I mean it covered everything from sheets, expanded, rolled shapes, to pipe, tubes, and shafts. This was a small pocket-size book maybe 3" x 5" in size. I have abolutely worn out my last one and I really could use a few more of these. I mean i have some larger books with the info, its just so convienent to use the smaller ones on a job site when I need one. I have searched on the internet but can't find anything similar. Thought you guys might now of a source. Thanks for the help. ~JacksonI'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......

Reply:I just did a search and came up with this...it's not a book, but an actual calculator...I am partial to books also...they don't crash or break that often, and the batteries never need replacing.http://www.metalical.com/index.htmBTW, glad you're back...Last edited by smithboy; 04-14-2007 at 11:20 PM.Smithboy...if it ain't broke, you ain't tryin'.

Reply:Thanks guys, It's good to be back. All we had here in the area was Dial up service and out here in the country it got so bad i just let it go since I never could get it to work when i wanted it, and I started doing alot of work away from home. Now we finally got the DSL so I am good to go. I Plan to be aorund quite often now. I just ordered a couple books from amazon. Hopefully one will work for what I need. ~JacksonI'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man...... |
