Hello all,I have been a lurker for quite a while now and I am in the scheeming process of getting the Wife to give me the go ahead for a Stick welder.I am wondering if anyone knows of a good retail web site(s) that have stupid Yard art junk, "at least that's what I think of it". My wife really likes that stuff and I'm hoping I could let her browse through a few web sites to get her interested and then make me a list of what she wants. Of course I would figure out costs for purchased yard art junk vs. cost to build yard art junk when talking to her about the welder purchase. If my first few projects are Yard Art that's fine with me.Thanks,Mike
Reply:Hey BigMike,I make a lot of yard & patio items on the side and they sell nicely. Here's a couple photos of a lawn plant holder and marble-top patio table I made for my mom. You can get some ideas and make your own modifications on the plant holders, and the patio table and be made in quite a few sizes depending on your tastes. There are many things you can make once you get started. Good Luck....Denny Attached ImagesComplete Welding/Machine/Fab. Reply:pottery barn, brookstone, home and hearth, skymall, start looking every where and you will be amazed at what you find, especially pay attention to all the catalogs of over priced crap that seem to seek out womankind, look in magazines such as better homes and gardens, southern living, architectural digest, elle design, if you're looking you'll see an amazing array of metal crap that people can do without, but women really believe they need. browse high end boutiques and antique stores. if you're really trying to convince your wife, look in places you know you can't afford and tell her you can make it or die trying.
Reply:BigMike,I think you're looking for a site like this: http://www.backyardbirdsdiscoverycen...rd_animals.php I googled "metal yard animals"Good luckBob
