for acetyline (spelling ) and O2, what cylinder connections will fit theese regulators? 300 or 550? im getting a lease on tanks and need to get the right kind of valve or im screwed. thanks
Reply:that gauge on the left looks like it has a propane tank fitting.
Reply:Those appear to be the more standard CGA500something connections.
Reply:They look standard to me but I can never keep the numbers straight. Just take your regulators with to local welding supply house and they should make sure you get the correct cylinders. If they won't help you just say thanks anyway and find another dealer.
Reply:o thanks guys. take em with me, never would of thought of that
Reply:All you need to say is you need a set of Oxy/ Acetylene bottles. I have never known the flammable gases to have anything other than the standard left hand threaded male type fitting and the Oxy to have a CGA510. You have a typical set of O/A regulators.I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......

Reply:Their web site is kind of difficult to wade through, but Western Enterprises makes all the welding related fittings/adapters/connections.http://www.westernenterprises.com/
Reply:I have the acet regulator that has the standard left hand thread that fits into a propane tank. My supplier has right hand threaded tanks, He gave me an adapter. I bought another set of torches and he gave me another one. I think they are only $5.00 anyhow.DavidReal world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor. |
