Can anyone tell me where to go to see a short film or internet online clip that shows the puddle while a bead is being laid down. My father in law has become interested in welding and I am always telling him about the seeing the puddle and he don't understand what i mean. If I had a clip I could show him. ThanksWhitey
Reply:I normally try and explain the look as similar to a small blob of mercury, then describe where it should be in relation to the arc (depending on push/pull). I also let them use my auto darken and I use the old flip.Hope this helps. My Photos on Flickr
