Saturday Aug 18..Zaps welding class is going to be in session...9 A.M. SHARP!You know the rules..If not here they are... REQUIREMENTS1You must be a member of this site!!2 Bring your own mask and gloves..3 You must have a "clue" what tig welding is all about4 You have to be able to put up with me for a few hrs  5 Last one there buys coffee and donuts and lunch for everyone.. 6 Wives-girlfriends optional..(they probably wont like sitting around in a grungy shop for hrs on end...)7 If you have anything you want welded bring it along and we'll see what we can do about it..8 Everyone is invited to a BBQ at zaps house when we're all done and everyone is happy..(lakefront)9 Contact me if your coming..10 Don't contact me if your not..we'll go over prep to finish welding on aluminum..stainless and C.R.S.it will be educational for sure so come with a open mind..room for 10-15directions are available from the shops sitewww.monarchmachineworks.com Ok we have a few "adjustments"We will have the cookout at the shop..NO BOOZE!!!! sorry..Bosses orders..And I'm the boss...Other than that its a good learning experience for all..So..this is it..Be there or stay home......zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Hmm, no booze.  Sounds serious.  Count me in.  I need to learn to TIG.  Not sure what you guys would call what I'm doing now.  Is there a cheap local motel you would recommend?Favorite right now is a Miller Syncro 200.Tons of tools and I blame at least one of them when things don't go right.

Reply:Only one machine? Whether I can be there depends on my work schedule, but if I can make it (I'd like to... I can always learn something, some times teach something, and would like to meet some of the people here) I can offer up my Maxstar for the day to gain a second seat.

Reply:You're within driving distance for me but I'm already committed to a 40 yr high school reunion that evening.  Lots of hours between here and there, no way I could do justice to even trying to make both events.  If this happens again (not the reunion) I will make the trip, if for no other reason than to see your equipment.
Reply:My "Stinkin Lincoln" is on the back of the truck, I could throw on the TA-185.  The lincoln will power it.  I have argon on the truck.  I also have a foot pedal and lift start, so you could TIG DC with the licnoln.DavidReal world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
