After seeing the posts of the welding class that took place with Zap, David R and others I thought it would be a good idea to do try to get one together here in western Washington. Specifically puget sound area.I don't have a shop to hold it, but I do have equipment and tons of scrap steel at hand.Any other Washingtonions out there who want to participate? Any with a shop? Any with equipment?
Reply:all i have is a stick welder that i haven't been able to plug in since i bought it , and very very limited knowledge/skill. but if we can find a place, you can sure as hell count me in. "Ask not for whom the bone bones, it bones for thee" - Bender
Reply:Welderboy, depending on the day, I would be able to come, I am up in the Northwest usually every 2 weeks ( currently drooling at the Columbia river, withing I brought my fishing pole). But we don't have a shop up here so unless you want to do it in a parking lot of a motel, I can't help with the location.
Reply:h2oboy, would you be able to bring the your welder/generator?I may have a place to do it. A friend of mine has a shop and a bunch of gravel around his place. He is also a welder, so I may be able to get him to host it.We'll need more equipment. I have my welder generator and a wirefeeder. I have a tig torch but no longer have a gas bottle.
Reply:I only get to drive up about twice a year, I almost always fly up. So I am limited to 50 lbs per bag, so If you can tell me how to shrink (not dismantle) 1000's of lbs of welders/ generators, I can help. With my work I have many roles, but I only weld/fab at my shop or at close jobs. Sorry. |
