Reply:Eaglelox,While I have a Syncrowave 250 (10 years old) and it's been a real workhorse, if you're talking about a steady diet of 3/8" aluminum, I'd say go ahead and step up to the 350. Just comes down to the old adage--you can't use amps you didn't buy. Duty cycle will be better with the larger machine.Just remember, the Syncrowave machines, can be power hungry. The 350 (to achieve full utilization wo/PFC) should be wired for about 130A input power. If the power's not there, the Dynasty 350 may be worth looking into, although we're talking a "lot" more money.Just my .02Syncro 250 DX Dynasty 200 DXMM 251 w/30A SG XMT 304 w/714 Feeder & Optima PulserHH187Dialarc 250 AC/DCHypertherm PM 1250Smith, Harris, Victor O/ASmith and Thermco Gas MixersAccess to a full fab shop with CNC Plasma, Water Jet, etc. |
