It welds from 20 minutes to an half an hour on automatic highspeed.then shuts down to an idle and won't weld. After it cools off it'll go back welding again.while it is hot, it wont weld very good on high speed.dont have enough amperage.Anyone know what it could be?Springs is not broken and it kicks in and out then it just won't do anything
Reply:Sounds to me like you've got circuit board troubles.I have one that started throwing a fit in the idle department, finally chased it down to the circuit board, when I pressed on a certain place on the board it would idle up when I struck an arc otherwise no idle up. Ok to what I'm getting at.I sent the circuit board off to be repaired, when I got it back I fired up the machine plugged in my grinder, hit the switch the idle jumped right up but the grinder would run at about ten rpm so I plugged in a drop light and had to light a match to see if it was lit. Then I hooked up the leads and tried that, again soon as I tried it just barely a spark. To shorten the story. I sent the board back again with a note telling the voltages I had and everything. Got the board back last week and all works well so far |
