I'm not sure where I saw it, i think it was a car i was working on or something. Anyhow, the exhaust was done aftermarket and the welds were real nice but they used some type of silver paint on it to keep it from gettin rusty I guess. Anyone seen or used this? I imagine it would need to be high heat. Thanks in advance
Reply:Could be a silver header or stove paint but was more likely a cold galvanize spray.Havent looked for it in a regular store lately but harware stores and or the big box stores should have it and your local welding supply or autobody supply will stock it by the case. Its sold under half a dozen namesRemember though it is a spray with high amounts of zinc solids in it so try not to breathe it or better yet wear at least a paper respirator and try to do all your welding before you spray anything.
