ok guys im a welding newbie. I get good beads on the flat but out of position I get horrible beads. BUBBLE GUM !!!! OK so what is the deal?I feel I am possibly running too hot, but I get concerned about having a weak weld (no penetration) and probably burn hotter than I should !I was welding some 1/8 thick square tube at about 120 Amps DCEP ! I probably want to be at around 90 to keep the weld pool under control ??? But will the welds hold ? I probably want a tighter arc as well. Thanks for any tips and advice. I should be able to get some photos in a week or so of my welds (when I get a chance to get back at it)!
