Hey guys, I got a really good deal on a Miller Maxstar 150 S (set up for just stick). And I am looking to set it up for scratch start TIG. Any advice on where I should get the regulator and hook ups would be great. Thanks.Just another Boiler Rat/Engineer
Reply:Other than ebay, craigs list, or here, I like Arc-Zone, they are very helpful and quick.http://www.arc-zone.com/
Reply:I have a 150s. I doesn't tig very well. At least mine does not. When amps are turned above 80 the arc goes out almost immediately. Could be just mine. However, I have no problems with it as a stick welder. It was also hooked up in 110v at the time.Good luck. Perhaps somebody else has advice on the welder's tig capability. Also, on Millers site (comparison chart) it does not consider it a tig welder.

Reply:I guess I got a couple more questions. I have just TIG'd at the power plant I work at, how much is this set up going to cost? What would you suggest for shielding gas? I think the plant uses 90/10 argon/co2. Thanks again guys.Just another Boiler Rat/Engineer
