I just got back from linclon welding school. And they said every AD helmet will eventually suffer from the HALO effect except for speedglas. HALO effect meaning the outside "ring" of the filter/lense wont get dark anymore and it grows over time? WHile stricking an arc if you look at the outside edge of you lense it wont be dark?
