Not So Many Scenes From A Welding class..

Sorry everyone..Yes I know this is the second time now with very little pics to show..(only 3)What do you want from me?I was teaching.. And no Hotrodder we did'nt do the BFH thing with 5356 VS 4043 yet..Next week.. All in all it was GREAT!Everyone is better at what they want to weld now..Did a little of everything TIG wise and everyone had ample "seat time" to try it all..Stainless..Mild steel..Aluminum..Gas mix vs straight argon..Positioner..Even fixed a crack in a "Cross Ram" 426 Intake ('65 Chrysler stuff) thats EXTREMLY expensive..Still have more to do on the other one so I will post pics..We did however do the BFH deal to some 1/4" Stainless that was fusion welded only and broke the vice trying to get it to break..Tozzi broke out the O/A torches and did some cutting..Then some arc gouging..Thanks Tozzi!Always a pleasure..Then we cleaned up and headed to the bar..I'm sure others took pics and you can post them here..I'd like to see them too.. Had representives from Tennessee, New York, Connecticuit, Toronto Canada,California and here in Mass.Quite a turnout..I was impressed!I hope everyone makes it home safely..We'll do it again sometime in early March...Thanks again guys!And be sure to turn the tungestion grinder off when done.....zap!Last edited by zapster; 11-10-2007 at 04:57 PM.I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Zap,Thanks for the time. It was well worth the trip. My total was about 500 miles round trip and about 4:15 for the run home.The time running Ar 100% V.S. Ar/He ~ 38/62% was key for me. Now I have to get another bottle and a mixing solution I will have to see about bringing my Dynasty next time.ThanksJim

Reply:I made it back to Buffalo at ~1:15 AM Sunday.  I stopped for ~45 minutes in the cartskills to pick up a late and lade a wrong turn along the way which added about a hour to the trip.  Zap, I learned a bunch.   Thanks for putting this on.  As soon as the good weather rolls around again, I'd like to come back.All: I picked up some great info from watching everyone else also.  It was nice to meet you all.Here are some pics from the class:Ryan Attached Images
