Miller power supply (cp250TS), P&H wire feeder and Bernard mig gun. In 1962, that is what I learned to weld with, because that was what was available and each one blamed the other when something went wrong. Reply:In 1965 I worked in a OTR Trailer repair shop in Nashville Tn. The local Weldingsupply house brought a wire welder out to demo it. Don't remember the brand, but it was the first one I had seen. All the old hands in the shop said it would'nt work, and refused to even try it. I tried it and liked it. It was many years later when I bought one, SP 150 , still have it. turns out the biggest reason the "old hands" did'nt like it was it took a long time to run out of wire, they would run a few rods and take a smoke break, the wire feed was just to fast for them. I have run many spools of wire since then and love the migsthe gorilla that made it hold Ranger 8 15 yrs old SP150 mig 25 yrs old several Victor sets Snap On 130 mig 25 yrs old Lincoln 225 buzz box SA200 F163 78 mdl they all work just added a Idealarc 250/250

Reply:Wow, John. I knew that CP250TS was an old design, but had no idea that model had been around since the '60's!! Mine was purchased, I believe as new, in the early 1980's. I brought home a Dialarc HF from work the other day that is just a couple years older than the CP, as best I know. The Dialarc is still working good, or at least it did the last time I used it at work. Those old machines are behemoths, but they sure were built to last forever.
