Hi yall and Merry Christmas.. I've been welding for about 10 years now--welding our own frames for horse barns, indoor arenas, garages, shop buildings, and have built alot of fences out of oil pipe(2 3/8 and 2 7/8). I have a Trailblazer 302 and it works like a charm. Question is I'm headed to the oil field/pipeline(don't wanta cause a ruckus between the two) do I need to get a Miller Pro 300, Miller PipePro or will me little 302 be enough for now? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Reply:Check out the miller forum down below,Some one started the topic already and hopefully will get some more replies from actual pipeline welders.pro-level dumpster diver Hobart 125EZ
Reply:Welcome and in the Pipeline or Oil Patch 1/8 6010 and 5/32 7018 are used most, so if your machine is good for that and you like it? Go for it. JohnSMAW,GMAW,FCAW,GTAW,SAW,PAC/PAW/OFCand Shielding Gases. There all here. : |
