For welding stainless steels?
Reply:It is AWS A5.11: "E NiCrMo-4" electrode. Again all serious producers have it in program.Do not be cheated with "super secret"... alloys by Eutectic. They also buy from the top producers, why would not you?
Reply:Just to add:All nickel based alloys, such are NiCrFe-3, NiCrFe-2, NiCrMo-3, NiCrMo-4 etc... will give perfect deposit on mild steels and stainless steel. Off course they are made to match specific Ni-alloy and also will do the job here.In order to prevent diffusion of carbon from mild steel to stainless steel, especially at high temperatures, and prevent possible cracks, embrittlements, etc... the best choice is to use these nickel-based consumables to make dissimilar joint. All of them are heat resistant... (around 1100C ... 1200C).
