hi can anyone tell me any of the harmful gases associted with welding
Reply:The fumes from welding over cadmium plated or galvanized parts is not good.Hexavalent chromium fumes associate with high current mig welding of stainless steels is apparently a big deal these days.Apparently ozone produced in the welding arc can interact with chorinated solvents (tricloethylene maybe) and produce phosgene gas. Here's a link, also mentions lead, which is pretty obvious, but also manganse found in steel and SS.http://lungdiseases.about.com/od/adv...welding_LD.htm
Reply:cheers for the info |
