Reply:Lots of construction going on in Houston......also box store dumpsters can have some nice finds from time to time.......ask around at some of the fab shops for there drops.....
Reply:Thanks
Reply:Also check your yellow pages for "scrap metal" or "fabrication shops" or "metal working" ...anything along those lines. Any big place that uses metal as part of their product line will have HUGE bins out back to recycle. Ask them nicely if they mind if you grab a few small pieces to practice welding.John - fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!- bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com
Reply:I scored a variety of stuff at the local auto body shop today. And was asked to leave a strip mall under donstruction.
Reply:Keep at it, you will become a professional dumpster diver/pack rat yet.I scored some thin wall square tubing from a sams club that we were working at. It was part of a pallet racking system that was going into the dumpster.Keep looking and asking.G3miller... 225g, s32p, 250x, 304, 12vs, MSW41 victor o/a thermal dynamics cutmaster 50 lenco panel spotter hobart hf-boxG3 Farms.....raising cattle, hay, kids and hell, ...oh yeah I'm a fire sprinkler contractor by trade.
