with there A/D len's mine is a trade'smen, protecter plate is clean nothing blocking the senser, welding out in the shop, fluoresent lighting, temp inside was mid thirty's. I would be welding and it would just start flashing me.
Reply:I had some trouble like that last winter when it was cold where I was welding.I had to get new batteries and was good to go.I started with the helmet warm and after it would cool down outside I would get flashed or it wouldn't darken when I started a weld.It was a speedglass and my son had always used it inside before. The batteries had to be about 3 yrs old I'm guessing.pro-level dumpster diver Hobart 125EZ

Reply:I have an auto dark helmet and if I leave it lay too long between use it won't work. Then if I lay it in the sun a while it will charge up and then will work. Now during long non use periods I set it in a window where the sun will hit it and then it stays charged up.Welder- Miller Thunderbolt AC 225-DC 150 Plasma cutter, Miller Spectrum 300O/P torch- Victor 100
