I'm thinking of building a flatbed for my ton truck. If I do it I'd like to make some compartments under the forward portion of the bed. It's an older truck ('86 GMC) so I'm not sure if off the shelf compartments are available (they'd need to be oddly shaped to clear the fuel tanks), so I was wondering if someone made std. doors and door frames so I could make a box to fit my space and use a nice water tight door.thanks.

Reply:I have a 76 dodge d100 long bed. It has a storage compartment under the passenger side. You would want it on that side to clear traffic. If you can find one. You would have to remake the door to fit your body lines. This might be what your talking about. For a flat bed you could make the whole thing. Is the tank out side the frame rails.Last edited by Hott Racing; 02-10-2008 at 10:08 AM.lincoln sp100miller syncrOwave 200 matobo grinders6 different torches for display Learning the trade
