I'm working on getting certed for innershild wire. I've been practicing w/ 233 instead of 232. 233 seems easier. According to Lincoln 233 is equivelant to 232 for structural use. Can anyone say anything different. I'm not sure I believe it 100%.
Reply:Never used 233, but 232 is a bitch to run up hill. It took me 1/2 a spool to get the hang of a 3F.DavidReal world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:As I understand it and from using all three the 233 is Lincolns answer to ESAB Coreshield 8.233 is a bit more like core8 than 232. 232 compaired to core 8 232 is "dirtier" more persnickety traps slag easer than core8. All three qualify for the same uses all three are charrpy -20 or better. and can be used in place of 7018.
