I can see it both ways........Grounding the table (especially if it's on rubber casters) might make sense...........What are you folks doing?Roy BDartmouth, Mahttp://www.rvbprecision.comMM 185 MIGDiversion 165Purox W200 O/AGrizzly 9957 MillGrizzly 4030 Metal Band SawGrizzly 1050 Knife Belt SanderJet 1236 Metal LatheCM 14" Metal Band SawTP Blast Cabinet
Reply:I don't suppose it would hurt a thing. On the other hand I used one on big rubber casters for over 15 years and it wasn't grounded. I stick welded and MIGed a lot of things on it and never got shocked. I have never seen any one ground a welding table.
Reply:At my old job, the steel welding jigs were used every day for over 25 years and not a one of them was electrically connected to anything except the ground cable from the machine.  The jigs just set on top of the concrete floor.   Nobody ever got hurt from it or had any issues about it.  I've never grounded a welding table at home or anyplace else either.   No problems so far.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
