Welding Clinic March 22

Looks like feb is covered pretty good.  I will give it one more shot. So I came up with Saturday March 22 In Lockport NY.  I have most everything we need.   Mig, Tig, Stick, Pulsed spray mig, dualshield, metal core, carbon arc gouging, plasma cutting, plasma gouging and Oxy acet torches. All consumables are free for everyones use.Scrap is in short supply because I am always using it up. I have a small shop, so the limit is 5 people not counting my son and I.I can only run one 220 v machine at a time because I have a demand meter.I also have 2 engine drives, either one can stick, Mig or  power the plasma or Tig welder, or you can TIG off the ranger 250 DC only.  I have a foot pedal for it.Come try out pulsed spray mig on steel or aluminum.  I do have some scrap aluminum.First 5 that are sure they can come put your name up here and send a PM.  I will send directions via PM.  Please include what process you would like to play with or work at so I can be prepared.I do have some new steel like 1/4" X 4" flat stock, 1/8" X 4", 3/16" X 6", 3/8" X 6".  I will sell at my cost by the foot.  It can be cut up with the bandsaw, plasma, or even porter cable sawzall.I hope to be in a bigger shop  some time after april, maybe as late as june.  It has 3 phase power.....And indoor plumbing. Reply:Cleaning yesterday and found the bottom of a bobcat bucket we can use for scrap.  Its about 1/4" plate.  I am going to a fab shop and dig through their scrap.  I was "Invited"I also ordered an atlas 200 lb positioner with chuck Friday for a job I just got in.  I have to weld 90 nipples onto 4" X 6" plates and more.  Tortis, it can't be all that bad.  I keep putting my money back into the business.  It helps keep that guy everybody hates away.  David Last edited by David R; 03-02-2008 at 08:49 AM.Real world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:na, it is not that bad.  i was the money man last year while my wife took a year off from work, and finished getting her college degree.  we didn't have to dip into savings, but i didn't save much either.  i have plenty of work, and she finally landed a great job, so it is all good

Reply:I have the same gas heater near the lathe.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
