It should start making sense."Schedule" when talking about pipe, is just part of the accepted terminology.... Kind of like shorthand.3" Schedule 40 pipe (for instance) means the same to supplers, draftsmen, engineers, welders, manufacturers, suppliers etc. Hope that helped.Later,Jason
